FAQs and Directions

Have a few questions for us before you book your zipline adventure in the Red River Gorge? Maybe you just want to know how to get here. We've got the answers you need!

Is there an age requirement?

No! There are no age requirements for our tours, only a weight requirement. All guests must weigh in between 70 and 250 pounds.

What is your cancellation policy?

We offer free cancellation up to 24 hours in advance of your tour time.

What are the directions to get to the Zipline?

Do not use GPS to get to our office or you will probably get lost.

Our office is located at the front of Cliffview Resort.  Many GPS devices (iPhones, Android phones, etc) will try to route you to Morehead, KY.

This is not correct and you will end up 45 minutes away.  You will be sad and we will be sad that you missed your tour.  We don’t want that to happen.

Therefore, we strongly recommend that you use the Google Maps directions box (below) or the directions below to get to our office.  Mapquest will also give you incorrect directions.  If you are going to use another source, please check with these instructions to ensure you are able to get to us.

If you have any questions, please call our office at 606-668-6222 and we will be happy to help you.  Please do keep in mind, however, that as you get close to our office, your cell phone service may be spotty and you may not be able to get through.

What is the weight limit?

For safety reasons for our guests and guides, there is a minimum weight limit of 70 pounds and a maximum of 250 pounds.

How much does the tour cost?

Our 2 hour zipline canopy tour starts at $79.99 for adults and $69.99 for kids 12 & under.

How long does a tour typically last?

Each tour consists of 5 zips total and typically lasts 2 hours.

When should we arrive for our tour?

Participants must arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the tour time.

Is the tour only one zipline?! How long is it?

Our course actually consists of 5 zips total, ranging from 330-1900 feet long. The cables also range from 75 to over 300 feet off the ground! The course also offers 3 unique sky bridges and incredible aerial views of the forest from the platforms located throughout the canopy. Tours typically run about 2 hours total.

Are there brakes on the zipline? How do we stop?!?

Relax, the guides do all of the braking. They use a brake block attached to the zipline with pulleys to catch each guest as they arrive at the receiving platform.

What is the weather cancellation policy?

We zip in almost all kinds of weather! Except for severe winds (over 25 MPH) and thunderstorms, zips happen rain or shine. Guests will have a great time regardless as each type of weather and season will yield a different experience on the course.

What is your payment policy?

All guests must have paid in full in order to go on tour.

How should I dress?

The only clothing requirement is that all participants wear closed toed shoes. These can be tennis shoes, hiking boots or something similar. You will be outside, so dress appropriately for the weather. Since you will be wearing a waist harness we suggest, if you choose to wear shorts, that they are at least thigh length for your comfort.

Can I bring my phone or camera?

While we do allow you to take your phone or camera with you if you would like, we do not suggest it as it would be quite easy to lose or break it while on course.

Picture packages and GoPro video camera rentals are available. These will allow you to take home great memories without risk of losing or damaging your camera. Both are discounted if purchased prior to your zip tour. Please call our office for details.

Do the guides accept tips?

If you feel that your guides were excellent, kept you safe, and provided a great tour, they do greatly appreciate any tip you would like to leave them. You may want to bring cash with you for this purpose.
