All participants must weigh between 70 and 250 lbs. We discretely verify weight at check-in. Don't worry, no one will see your weight besides our guide.
There are no age restrictions for our zip line. However, all participants must be at least 70 lbs. Kids under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent/adult on the tour.
Ziplining is not for those with recent joint or bone injuries, heart conditions, or pregnant women. If you require fast-acting medication (like epinephrine), bring the medication with you on the tour and make your guide aware of your condition prior to departure.
All guests must be in reasonably good physical condition. There are a total of about 80 steps you will climb during your treetop tour. Also, while there is minimal walking, all guests should be comfortable walking on uneven terrain.
What To Expect
When to Arrive
Please be at the Red River Gorge Zipline office no later than 30 minutes prior to your tour's scheduled departure. We start our tours on time so that our guests have the most fun they can. No refunds will be issued for late arrivals.
What To Wear Ziplining
All of our tours will run rain or shine, regardless of temperature. So, be sure to check the weather for the day of your tour (our Zipcode is 41301) and dress accordingly. Closed-toe shoes that are appropriate for hiking are required. We recommend avoiding loose clothing like ponchos or scarves.
As long as it's not lightning or too windy (winds over 25 MPH), we're ziplining. In the event we do have to cancel your tour due to the weather, we will either issue you a full refund or a raincheck (depending on the circumstances). We do reserve the right to pause or delay a tour for up to 90 minutes to wait for inclement weather to pass.
All guests will be without access to restroom facilities for 2 hours. Just like a family road trip, we'll ask if anyone has to "go potty" before we depart for the tour. We recommend you go then.
Canopy Tours Fill Up Fast!
We highly recommend you reserve your spot on a zipline canopy tour.
We feel bad when we have to turn folks away at the office when we're totally booked up for the day. 🙁
